Marcel Zijp joined Brightlands Venture Partners in May 2021 as investment manager agrifood. Marcel brings a wealth of experience with startups and scaleups in the agri-food-health chain, particularly in marketing leadership functions. He grew feed ingredients start-up Selko and was its managing director after the sale to Nutreco. He had the position of global marketing director at Nutriad and was involved in the preparation of the later sale to Addiseo. Marcel is also co-founder of FMCG-start-up Champetit International (Brazil).
He holds a master’s degree animal nutrition & health from Wageningen University (Netherlands), has a register marketeer degree from NIMA-EMC, as well as an MBA from Webster University (USA).
