Marcel Kloosterman

Marcel joined Brightlands Venture Partners in 2006. His fields of interest and expertise span the areas of life sciences and cleantech.

He is Managing Partner of Brighlands Venture Partners, a director of Chemelot Ventures, a senior investment manager of Limburg Ventures and a director of BVP Fund IV. Up to 2016, he also was an Investment Manager with DSM Venturing. In these capacities, he is and was involved in a large number of investments and acting as a board member, limited partner and/or shareholder for multiple portfolio companies. Before his involvement in venture capital, Marcel held various management functions within DSM in market research, emerging technologies, new business development and new business creation to corporate secretary.

He has a PhD in organic chemistry from Leiden University (Netherlands).
